Who am I ?

Beginnings: Prior to the advent of 24-hour cable news, an editor at the then still locally owned Asbury Park Press took a chance and hired an inexperienced college student as a "stringer" to cover local city council, board of ed, and planning board meetings. From those humble beginnings, my professional journey included writing (freelance and staff writer positions on both newspapers and trade magazines), editorial (editor and executive editor of trade magazines and directories) and design (magazine, brochures, websites, etc.) and photography (including magazine cover shots). With the exception of my early newspaper work, photography has always played an integral role in my contribution to the final product.

In the Present Tense: This space will focus on my non-commissioned photography with an obvious emphasis on the types of subjects that I find most interesting - or that I just find the most enjoyable to shoot.

Aspirations: In the near future, I plan to offer gallery prints of select photos for sale.
